Boat launch ramps are located both in San Diego Bay and Mission Bay. There are also bait barges in both locations for fisherman.

San Diego Bay Launch Ramps

• The Shelter Island Boat Launching ramp is located almost acreoos the street from Humphries hotel. It is large with a grouved traction surface for boat launching. It is a very busy location with ample parking for cars and trailors. Washroon facilities are available. This is the closest ramp to the ocean. 


• Glorietta Bay Boat Launching Ramp is located in the City of Coronado. It is a smaller ramping facility. As you proceed to the main channel info San Diego Bay watch your depth. Pay close attention to your maps.
• The Chula Vista Boat Launching facility is located at the J Street Marina Park off the J Street, Chula Vista off-ramp from Interstate 5.  The ramp has restrooms, parking for vehicles with trailers and picnic facilities.  Care should be taken navigating as San Diego Bay can be shallow here. Pay close attention to your maps.
• The National City Boat Launching Ramp is located next to Pepper Park in National City. San Diego Bay via the Sweetwater Channel. The closest freeway access is off the 24th Street Interstate 5 off-ramp in National City.  There are restrooms, picnic facilities as well as fishing pier.

Mission Bay Launch Ramps

The four launch ramps are open 24 hours

• The Dana Landing launch ramp is located near the southern end of the South Ingraham Bridge near the Dana Landing Market.  The address is 2630 Ingraham St, San Diego, CA 92109. Amenities include fuel, ice, restaurant and bait. Overnight accommodations and rental slips are available.
• The De Anza Cove launch ramp is located in the northeast corner of the bay, at 2800 East Mission Bay Drive near the visitors center. There are 4 lanes and a small dock. Amenities include picnic areas, swimming, a float, and water skiing areas. 
• The Santa Clara Point launch ramp is located on the west side of the bay off Santa Clara Place.  Amenities include groceries, restrooms, picnic area, and water skiing. 
• The Ski Beach launch ramp is located on the east side of Vacation Isle.  Amenities include groceries, restrooms, picnic area, and water skiing.
